Zip Update
The tail is wagging! Zip is zipping around the house on all fours! That’s right! 
If you walked in my house right now chances are that Zippy would get up on all four feet and come to greet you with her tail wagging in that friendly kind of way. She seems to have adapted to the injury that she sustained (we don’t know how) around Eastertime and she is walking short distances on all four legs and feet. After she goes for awhile she flops to one side but she has even attempted to go up and down the steps!
One night after Alex put her out the back door we heard whining at the front door. When he opened the door, there she was ready to come in! She had climbed the 5 stairs and was waiting like she used to do for us to open the door, let her in and get a doggie cookie. I gave her two cookies that night.
Life with Zip now is a little bit more precious and a definite joy. She is basking in the glow of her boys returning home for the summer and she is loving it.
